As our third year, this was a big step forward for an emerging attraction for music lovers.
Friday evening we had a special evening with Don Gallagher and David Tipton who presented a Tribute to Doc Watson, in particular, the personal side of a relationship with Don of over 40 years.
Don and Jean graciously presented David and Reina Mathis with a painting. A former green beret who played guitar wanted to learn how to build guitars. So, he worked for Gallagher for a period of time. During that time, he painted a picture of Doc Watson that watched over the shop for many years. Now, it is once again watching over the shop but now in Murfreesboro.
The evening ended with an open jam for pickers young and old(er).
