As a member of the Appalachian Road Show, Zeb has his guitar skills on full display.

“Appalachian Road Show is a visionary acoustic ensemble, bringing new-generation interpretations of traditional Americana, bluegrass and folk songs, as well as offering innovative original music, all presented with a common thread tied directly to the heart of the Appalachian regions of the United States. GRAMMY-nominated banjoist Barry Abernathy, joins forces with GRAMMY-winning fiddler Jim VanCleve, fresh off of his recent stint touring with multi-platinum country artist Josh Turner, as well as esteemed vocalist and mandolinist Darrell Webb, who has recorded and toured with Dolly Parton and Rhonda Vincent, among many others. The group also includes 26-year-old “old soul” guitarist Zeb Snyder, whose fierce and versatile playing recalls Doc Watson and Norman Blake as readily as it does Duane Allman and Stevie Ray Vaughn” (taken from their website).

They were nominated for the 2025 IBMA Entertainer of the Year.

Zeb Snyder

“Zeb Snyder, guitarist with Appalachian Road Show, has released his first, self-titled solo album. The young multi-instrumentalist originally from North Carolina and now living in Tennessee admitted that recording/producing his own project has been on his bucket list for more than a decade. A musical prodigy, Snyder, has been picking since an early age. He won a Gerald Anderson guitar by taking first place at Renofest in 2011 when he was only 15 years old.

The album is very much of his own design. It is not a bluegrass album. It lends itself more toward the acoustic blues realm, but most grassers will find it enjoyable, toe-tapping, and easy listening. There is no banjo. There are no harmony vocals. It is just Zeb Snyder, front and center, picking guitar and singing, with support from notable musicians within the bluegrass genre.” From Bluegrass Today, Posted on July 17, 2025 by Sandy Hatley

About the album, Zeb writes: ““I knew I had made exactly what I set out to make. It was raw, imperfect, earthy, gutsy, and Southern, brought to life by some of the finest musicians I could have ever hoped to play with. The joy of seeing this all come together has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. I hope every listener gets some of that joy from this project, and I hope they feel the emotions that flow through it.”

He further writes: “This album is my own acoustic blend of blues, bluegrass, country, and rock. It’s exactly half originals and half covers, brought to life by the best musicians I could have ever asked to play with. Sam Bush, Jason Carter, and Todd Phillips. This is also my first project as a lead vocalist, as well as the first time I’ve released original instrumentals since 2017. Can’t wait to see what y’all think of it. Please listen and share!”
