1977, GC – 70, $4,500

Martha Norvel worked with Gallagher Guitar Co. for many years. J.W. built a special guitar to honor her work with the company. That guitar is now looking for a new home. A GC-70 with special inlay and a special history. It is also a beautifully sounding guitar with unbelievable sustain, projection and volume.  It has a 25.25″ scale length.  There is some checking on the top which adds to the vintage look.  It received a total refret and set up.  It is ready to play.

Don Gallagher shared the following about this special guitar: “Martha assembled bodies for many years. Dad did think a lot of her. Number 999 was a guitar Dad wanted made for Martha to show appreciation for her years of service. I selected some nice woods for her and did some special inlays on the fingerboard. The inlays used were made by Joesph Phetteplace. They are heart abalone. The pattern includes a special snowflake in the first position.”

Martha’s guitar is looking for a new home.
